PCST Weekly Update
Piranhas! Your kiddos swam their hearts out at the championship meets! There was never a shortage of piranha cheerleaders for any given race and it was noticeable. The spirit award remains with PCST! Congratulations to all.
Awards Ceremony: The end of season Awards Ceremony will be held at Normandy Pool Wednesday, July 17, from 6:30-8:00pm, same pavilion where the dalmatian t-shirts were decorated. All PCST swimmers will be honored for a successful 2024 swim season. Awards, including most improved, high point and spirit, will be presented. The always anticipated season video will also debut. Treats for swimmers will be available, please feel free to bring your own lawn chairs and picnic dinner. See you there!
State Practices/Meet: Swimmers who have qualified for the State Meet should have received a separate email from Coach Frankie about practice times and state meet logistics.
State Meet: The Jim Fernald State Championship meet will be held July 19-21. Below are breakdowns of age groups/dates/locations.
Friday July 19: 400 Freestyle @ Virginia Vale Swim Club (622 S Holly St). Warm up 8am, Start 9am.
Saturday July 20: 12&Under @ Crestmoor Community Association (101 S Kearney St) (now a Single Session). Warm up 6:30am, Start 7:30am.
Sunday July 21: 13&Over @ Eastmoor Swim and Tennis Club (6865 E Princeton Ave):NEWTIME Warm up 7am, Start 8:30.
State Volunteers: Volunteer shifts for State have not yet been posted. An email notification will be sent when they are available. Anyone can volunteer for these shifts, not just State families. A great way to complete your shifts if you haven’t already.
