PCST Weekly Update
Congratulations, Piranhas, on a successful regular swim season! A special shout out to Coaches Peggy and Julianna for guiding the team through a huge Ken Caryl meet!
Last Week of Practice: This upcoming week is the final week of regular practice. Regular practice times Monday through Thursday. Don’t forget the final Speeding Ticket Store will be open on Tuesday. Check your family mailboxes for tickets! There’s a Lost and Found bin in the team shed. Missing towels, goggles, water bottles - look in the Lost and Found before the end of the week.
Spirit Night: PCST will be hosting a Spirit Night this Thursday, July 11, at 6pm at Normandy Pool. White T Shirts will be given to swimmers to decorate with their unique dalmatian spots. Pizza will be served. A suggested $2 donation to the team is requested to cover the cost of the shirts and pizza. Those spot-on shirts are then to be worn at the respective League Meets to spotlight the PCST spirit!
League Championship Meets: Silver and Gold League Championships are this week! Coach Frankie will communicate meet entries to swimmers based upon their qualifying times.
Friday July 12: All 400 and 200 Gold League Freestyle Championship and all 12&U Silver League Championship @ Bear Creek. Warm up 8am, Start 9am.
Saturday July 13: Gold League Championship @ Governor’s Ranch. Warm up 6am, Start 7am.
League Meet Volunteers: Volunteer shifts are OPEN. Volunteer shift start (with the exception of the first shift) and end times posted are ESTIMATES, only. Actual shift start and end times will depend upon how fast the meet is moving and is guided by event numbers. Please look at event numbers in shift descriptions to know when you need to report. There are also merch table positions open.
Photos to Andrei: From Andrei: We are almost to the end of the season and it's time to get those pictures in! If you haven't taken any yet, no worries, just give your device to your swimmer and let them get those pictures! Guaranteed to get some good ones. Couple different ways to send them in:

Awards Banquet: The end of season Awards Ceremony will be held at Normandy Pool Wednesday, July 17, from 6:30-8:00pm. All PCST swimmers will be honored for a successful 2024 swim season. Awards, including most improved, high point and spirit, will be presented. The always anticipated season video will also debut. Treats for swimmers will be available, please feel free to bring your own lawn chairs and picnic dinner. See you there!
State Practices: Swimmers who have qualified for the State Meet will receive a separate communication regarding the practice schedule for the week of July 15-July 18.
State Meet: NEW SATURDAY and SUNDAY INFO: The Jim Fernald State Championship meet will be held July 19-21. Below are breakdowns of age groups/dates/locations. Please note the Saturday portion is now a single session instead of dividing into three separate groups and the Sunday start time has changed.
Friday July 19: 400 Freestyle @ Virginia Vale Swim Club (622 S Holly St). Warm up 8am, Start 9am.
Saturday July 20: 12&Under @ Crestmoor Community Association (101 S Kearney St) (now a Single Session). Warm up 6:30am, Start 7:30am.
Sunday July 21: 13&Over @ Eastmoor Swim and Tennis Club (6865 E Princeton Ave):NEW TIME Warm up 7am, Start 8:30.
