PCST Weekly Update
Congratulations, Piranhas, on a fun and successful meet. Follow @plattecanyonpiranhas on Instagram for team photos from the day. Please note we will be requesting your swim photos towards the end of the season to create a 2024 slideshow to present at the banquet. Please take photos during meets! All types of photos are welcome - individuals, action shots, relays, candids.
There’s a lot of information this week!
Family Mailboxes
Start checking your family mailboxes. One large plastic file bin with your family’s file folders will be sitting on the picnic tables under the pavilion. Starting this week, the mailboxes will have ribbons and speeding tickets for your swimmers. Speeding tickets are earned each time a swimmer completes a new race without a disqualification and each time a swimmer beats their previous time. Hold on to those speeding tickets! The speeding tickets are currency for the speeding ticket store. Store dates are to be determined.
June 8 Meet @ Governor’s Ranch
Next Saturday’s meet is away at Governor’s Ranch with Bear Creek. The meet starts at 7am. Coach Frankie will send out warm up times. Volunteers please check in by 6:45am and attend the meet’s timer and stroke and turn judge meeting.
Gear Updates
It seems Out of Breath had backorders on some boys jammers. If yours was backordered, it was highlighted on the order from. Out of Breath believes they will be in this week.
PCST has ten (10) team caps available for purchase. They are $15 each. First come, first serve, see Peggy or Megan.
As a reminder, swimmers are asked to bring kickboards to practice daily. There are a lot of similar kickboards, make sure they are labeled with your swimmers’ names.
June 11 Team Photos and Pirates Cove
Team photos are Tuesday, June 11, starting at 7:30am. Please arrive no later than 8:15am. Your swimmer should wear their team suit, or their preferred meet suit if they do not have a team suit. All ordering is done online via Imagetek. You will receive an email link for online ordering prior to the date.
There will be no swim practice on Tuesday after photos. Instead, the team will meet at Pirates Cove starting at 10am for an informal team day at the water park. Team families usually set up on the west side of the park near the lazy river. Coaches will be there, but will not be supervising your swimmers. Please ensure your child has proper supervision for the day. Pirate’s Cove publishes a Buy One, Get One coupon, so be sure to check their website.
