PCST Weekly Update

Last Day to Register

The last day to register for the 2024 season without a late fee is coming up on May 20. Please note registration is considered complete when a $350 volunteer deposit check is received (with the exception of those who’ve committed to multi shift positions). Peggy Merrill collects the checks and they can be brought to the first morning practice or the May 29th kickoff picnic.

Team Store #2

The initial Out of Breath PCST team store closed April 28. A second team store is now open through May 14. Unfortunately, team caps are no longer available. Items ordered from the second store will be available for pick up from Out of Breath mid-season.

Volunteering

Volunteer shifts for each meet will open the Sunday before the meet at 7am. A required number of volunteer shifts for each family will be determined at the end of registration. Historically, the required shifts have averaged 6 per family. Any outstanding volunteer deposit checks are due by May 29 in order for your swimmer to participate in the first meet.

Multi Shift Volunteer Positions

At this time, PCST still needs a Concessions Trainee and Starter Trainee. Please contact Megan Knight with interest [email protected]. Multi Shift volunteers do not need to submit a volunteer deposit check. These positions require that you attend home meets and have a two year minimum commitment.

First Morning Practice and First Meet

The first regular morning practices start Tuesday, May 28. The first swim meet is the following Saturday, June 1, at Columbine Knolls. There is an RSVP button on each calendar event to let Coach Frankie know if your swimmers are participating in any given meet. If you know you’re going to be out of town or otherwise unavailable for a meet, using the RSVP function is a huge help to Coach Frankie.

Welcome Back Picnic

The Welcome Back Picnic will be held on Wednesday, May 29, from 5:30-7:00pm at Normandy Pool. Bring a picnic dinner and bring room for dessert as the Hip Pops food truck will be onsite. Out of Breath orders from the first team store will be available for distribution. This is also a great opportunity for swimmers to finalize their meet entry requests with Coach Frankie before Saturday’s meet.

Upcoming

Year round swimmers who want to compete in summer invitationals, league and state will need to suspend with their year round team by May 15. The last day to register without a late fee is May 20. The first day of morning practice is Tuesday, May 28. The welcome back picnic is May 29. Team photos and Pirates Cove outing will be Tuesday, June 11.

Swim fast and Happy Mother's Day!
