Holy moly, Piranhas - an undefeated regular season. That might be a first. Congratulations to all who improved times, tried new things and just had fun. We have five very special coaches to thank to make all this happen - Coach Frankie, Coach Alyssa, Coach Julianna, Coach Ben and Coach Esha. We are so thankful to have had them for the season!

Now on to the final week of practice and League Championships.

SJSL Championship Meet - League - July 22 and July 23

Coach Frankie will communicate League meet entries. If you are Unavailable for the League meet, please let Frankie know ASAP. The 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle and 8&under 100 freestyle events are on Friday evening at Bear Creek, warm up at 4pm, meet start at 5pm. All remaining events, including relays, will be swum at Governor’s Ranch on Saturday, July 23, with a meet start of 7am. The Saturday warm up schedule will be communicated later this week. As it’s a full league meet, it’ll be longer than the regular season dual meets. Bring plenty of food, drinks and sun protection. League shirts and programs will be sold. Volunteer shifts are open.

Practice Friday July 22 - Please Note

As there are several Friday night swimmers, the Friday morning practice will be consolidated. Friday night league swimmers should sleep in and rest up for their events, no practice Friday. The Friday morning practice schedule for everyone else will be:

7-8am: 12+ swimmers

8-8:45am: 11&u swimmers

The Speeding Ticket Store will be open one more time this Thursday, July 21, after regular practice times. Find your tickets!

Andrei Needs Your Photos!

The creation of the season video is in process. The last day to submit pictures to be included is this upcoming Sunday, July 25. Below is information on how to get your photos to Andrei:

Andrei will host the video in a google drive and on youtube so everyone has access. The video will be available for download on the google drive.

End of Season Awards Ceremony - July 27

The 2022 end of season awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, July 27, from 6:30-8pm at Normandy Pool. Awards, including most improved, high point and spirit, will be presented. The season video will also debut. Treats for swimmers will be available, please feel free to bring your own picnic dinner.

State Championship Meet - July 29-31

For those who have qualified with state times, the State Championship Meet will occur over three days at two separate locations. The schedule is below.

• 400 Freestyle Events: Friday, July 29 @ Applewood Knolls. Warmup 7am, Start 8am
• 11/12 & 13/14 Age Groups: Friday, July 29 @ Splash Golden. Warmup 5pm, Start 6pm
• 8&U & 9/10 Age Groups: Saturday, July 30 @ Splash Golden. Warmup 6am, Start 7am
• 15/16 & 17/18 Age Groups: Sunday, July 31 @ Splash Golden. Warmup 6am, Start 7am

Swimmers may still qualify for State at the League Meet. The 7/25-7/29 practice schedule for state swimmers will be communicated later.

A shout out to all our volunteers, the season could truly not happen without you. Standing in the hot sun with a watch, painstakingly watching all those breaststroke and butterfly kicks, herding loud and wiggly swimmers in heating tents, using the computer program to create meets and enter times, selling coffee to drowsy parents, setting up a whole store for kids eager to spend their earned tickets, and countless other invaluable tasks - all of it is so incredibly appreciated. Thank you!
