Normandy Pool Update: When we sent the pool update yesterday, we were very optimistic and very much under the impression that getting the team into Normandy on Wednesday was realistic. Our hopes were dashed last night. Normandy has communicated they will be further testing repairs to the pool pipes to ensure the solution is viable and has longevity. The testing will occur next week, which means no Normandy pool for us. It makes perfect sense for Normandy to be conservative as the damage was major, but it makes it really hard to run summer swim team! As such, below is our plan in place for next week:

Dates: June 1 – June 4

Practice Pool Location: Pirates Cove, 1225 W Belleview Ave, Littleton, CO 80120

Entrance: Far southeast entrance at bottom of parking lot, leads directly into the competition pool area

Times: Same Practice Times

Lanes: Same Practice Lanes

We know this is not what any of us were expecting. It is understandable if the location makes getting to practice not possible for everyone. I always heard finding ice time was a near impossibility. I now challenge that finding pool time falls into the same category. Please know our belief is that this is very temporary and we will get back to our home pool. If a contingency plan is needed for a second week, we’ll of course be in communication.
