As promised, a PCST March Update...

March 2021 Update: Normandy Pool is located in Jefferson County which has moved to level blue on the covid dial. For PCST, that means we may register swimmers at normal capacity. Therefore, we are going to forego the registration survey and open registration in March. You will be notified when registration opens via Swimtopia. There will be no direct payment at the time of registration, however, there will be an invoice generated at the time of registration.

Normandy Pool: We are incredibly lucky to have Normandy Pool host our team. We will be following all state/local health regulations at the time of the swim team as well as any additional requests made by our host. Therefore, the Normandy restrooms will be available for our kids for bathroom use only. However, the locker room areas will not be open for changing. Same as last year, swimmers will come to the pool dressed to swim and will leave with suits on. In addition, parents/caretakers will not be permitted in the pool area during practice. Adults are welcome to gather outside the pool grounds. Normandy Pool is offering 2021 family pool membership discounts to registered PCST swimmers/families. Schedule: The state swim board announced this week that the state meet may be moved up by one week to July 23-25. That means the SJSL dual and league meet schedule will likely be changing from what was previously communicated. We will update the team with new information as it’s available.

Meets: We continue to work with SJSL on meet structure. We will be adhering to the health regulations applicable at the time of the swim team as well as honoring any additional requests made by our competitors’ pools. It is likely for non-virtual meets that individual swimmer families will be required to sign a waiver for participation at host pools. Again, we are hopeful for traditional meets, but will remain flexible and creative.

Registration Fees: The fee structure for the 2021 season is outlined below.

Volunteers: We are hoping with a more normal season, we will be in need of our normal volunteers. We will be reaching out to volunteers who previously held multi-shift positions for first right-of-refusal for those positions. We are always in need of stroke and turn judges. For parents/caretakers who were swimmers and/or coaches, this is a great opportunity for you. You will be trained. Contact Peggy Merrill with interest [email protected]

Chipotle: We did not want to increase our fees for 2021. However, we have some additional costs. You can help us out by participating in a Chipotle Fundraiser on Monday, March 29.
