From Sara Squires: Mile Swim Day!

Another fun Piranha Tradition is coming up: Mile Swim Day!

Mark your calendars for Monday, July 8

What:

Swimmers are given the opportunity to swim during their regular practice time (1 hour) and complete the Mile Swim Day challenge!

Who:
Ages 9+: are challenged to swim a full mile (64 lengths)

8 and under: are challenged to swim a half mile (32 lengths)

Bonus: Still have some gas in the tank? Swimmers with extra time and energy remaining can strive to join the 100 Club as well (100 lengths in 1 hour or less)!

What you need to know:

1. IMPORTANT: Swimmers must have a designated person to keep track of their lengths (tally sheets are provided)

2. Swimmers have their regular, 1 hour practice timeframe to complete the challenge

3. All swimmers who successfully swim the designated lengths for their age group in one hour or less will receive a special completion certificate at the banquet!

4. Didn't complete the challenge, but tried?  We love the effort and for all those who try, regardless of completing or not, a speeding ticket will be earned for the attempt.

5. ALL swimmers who participate will be rewarded with donuts after the swim!
