Hope everyone is well rested after yesterday's meet!  Thank you, Linda Wick, for organizing our poster making party.  There was a lot of cheering for new buddies! Below please find your weekly Piranhas update.

Volunteers:  Thank you, thank you, volunteers.  We had parents, extended family and friends all pitching in yesterday to make yesterday's meet successful.  It's so incredibly appreciated.  Upon first glance at our home meet on Saturday against Governor's Ranch, we're still in need of a stroke and turn judge and help in the heating tent.  As a reminder, you can get to volunteer shifts in Swimtopia by selecting About, then SignUp Calendar.

Speeding Tickets!: According to many of our swimmers, speeding tickets are one of the very favorite parts of swim team. The following is from your Spirit Coordinators:  

Hi Team, Tomorrow morning your swimmers will find speeding tickets in their folders. Speeding tickets are given each time a swimmer beats their best race time. They also earn a speeding ticket each time a swimmer swims a new race as long as they don't DQ. We will be having at least two speeding ticket shops throughout the season (dates TBD). The speeding ticket shop is when your swimmer can trade in their tickets for prizes. This year we will be placing the tickets inside a ziplock bag in each family's folder. Please feel free to check your folder for your tickets. We recommend that the tickets are placed back in the ziplock bag so that they aren't lost, and then the day of the speeding ticket shop you'll have your tickets ready. Gator Open vs. KC Invite:  Frankie sent info yesterday about the Gator Open (June 19) and the KC Invite (June 21/22).  Please review that info and let us know your questions.  

What's Ahead:  Please mark your calendars for Monday, June 24.  In lieu of practice, we will have Pictures and Pancakes at the pool.  Individual and team photos will be taken and pancakes will be served.  Families may then go to Pirates Cove and look for their Piranha friends.  We do not pre-purchase tickets, families may purchase through Pirates Cove should they choose to go.  Before the July 4 break, we will a home meet against Ken Caryl on June 29.
