PCST Weekly Update
Congratulations, Piranhas, on a successful first meet! We have a lot of beginning of season information to disseminate, so please be patient.
BBQ: The kickoff BBQ is still on for tomorrow night, Monday, June 3, 6-8pm, fingers crossed. If you signed up as a BBQ volunteer, please arrive at the pool by 5:30.
Mailboxes: Each family has a mailbox. They are file folders in black boxes that are on the tables at each morning practice. Your family mailbox is where you will find ribbons, speeding tickets, flyers, etc. Check your mailboxes weekly, they get full!
Time Trackers: Attached you will find this season's time tracker. You may download and track electronically or print out your specific age/gender group's page(s). Please note the results report we received from Woodbourne had 2018 qualifying times listed. Your swimmer may or may not have qualified for the KC Invite and/or State based on the updated 2019 times found in the attached tracker.
Papa Murphy's Cards!: Team mom extraordinaire, Alice Radic, has organized a team fundraiser through Papa Murphy's. We have Papa Murphy's cards for sale for $10. Each card has $45-$55 worth of deals. Cards never expire, can be used at any Colorado Papa Murphy's and are only supplied by a fundraising organization. If you are a regular at Papa Murphy's, these are incredible. We'll have these available at home meet concessions or let any board member know and we can get you some earlier.
Buddy Program: The Buddy Program is back for 2019 (Thank you, Linda!). An email was sent earlier describing the program and included the buddy form to be returned to the Wick family mailbox. Buddies will be announced at the BBQ. Enjoy!
Team Caps: We have a handful of team caps on hand for sale for those who did not get one through Out of Breath. Each cap is $12. Find a board member if you want one or two.
Volunteer Reminders: We received feedback that reminders are not automatic through Swimtopia for those who signed up for volunteer shifts. Please review your volunteer shifts and add to your personal calendars. Thank you, volunteers! We cannot run this team without you.
End of Year Video Photos: We're incredibly happy to have Andrei Gisetti back to create our end of year team video. We need your help with photos. Take photos of your swimmers, relays, etc. and save them for Andrei to include in the production. We'll send information out about how to get those to Andrei soon.
Normandy Pool: We have a great partnership with Normandy Pool for our swim team. Please help us in maintaining their pool grounds. If you use pool chairs, please return them to their stacks. If you notice trash or personal items, please pick up before you leave. We do keep a lost and found box in the swim team shed. Also, we need to be off pool grounds by 9:45 am in order for the guards to prep the pool for swim lessons and public swim.
Communications: Thank you, everyone, for giving the coaches space to pay attention to our swimmers in the pool during practice. If you have a specific question, you can find Frankie after practice, email Frankie and/or find/email a board member and we'll get your concern addressed.
Our meet on Saturday is a true Home Meet against Bear Creek. See you at the BBQ!
