At this time no regristration fee will be required. An invoice will be sent out in late April with payment information.

As a parent or guardian of a swimmer and member of the South Jeffco Swim League and Platte Canyon Piranhas, I/we will abide by the following guidelines:
1. Practice teamwork with all parents, swimmers and coaches.
2. I/We will not coach or instruct the team or any swimmer at practice or interfere with coaches on the deck.
3. I/We will demonstrate good sportsmanship by conducting myself in a manner that earns the respect of my child, other swimmers, parents, officials, and coaches at meets and practice.
4. Maintain self-control at all times as to allow the coaches to coach, the swimmers to swim, the officials to officiate and the parent to be a parent that positively supports their child.
5. I/We understand that criticizing, name-calling; use of abusive language or gestures towards coaches, officials, swimmers and parents will not be tolerated or permitted.
6. I/We will actively participate in positive communication and actions with the team, coaches, parents and swimmers.
7. During competitions, questions or concerns about decisions made by meet officials will be directed to the coaches and/or meet committee. Parents will not address the officials during a meet.
Should I conduct myself in such a way that brings discredit or discord to the South Jeffco Swim League, I/we voluntarily subject myself to disciplinary action.
All swimmers of the Swim Team will abide by the following swimmers’ code of conduct.
1. During all meets, practices and swim team functions, all swimmers agree to be a respectable representative of their swim team and will not be part of any unsportsmanlike conduct. Unsportsmanlike conduct will include but is not limited to:
a. making insulting or derogatory remarks towards competitors, coaches, parents, other team personnel or officials;
b. showing undue disgust with official’s decisions;
c. intentionally interfering with a swim meet, practice or other team function;
d. taunting, teasing, or name calling of other competitors;
e. involving himself or herself in behavior that is unacceptable, harmful or disrespectful to the team, families or other’s around them.
2. All swimmers will participate to their fullest ability on the swim team, which includes practices, functions and meets. If unable to make an activity, communication with a coach is required.
3. Any swimmer who involves him or herself in unsportsmanlike conduct will be asked to leave the remainder of the activity (meet, practice, function). Repeat offenses will be taken into consideration by the swim team board and consequences will be given that may include, but not limited to: suspension from a meet or function, dismissal from the team, league or any other consequence the board feels appropriate.
4. Please note swimmers who do not participate in at least three (3) morning practices per week may not be considered for relay teams.
5. All Swimmers are expected to check in with the head and/or assistant coach at the coach’s tent prior to each meet start and before and after each event swim.
Volunteers: For each PCST family, a deposit check in the amount of $350.00 will be collected and held with this code of conduct. Families that fulfill all swim team volunteer shifts (6-7) will receive their volunteer deposit check at the end of the current swim season. Families that do not fulfill the required swim team volunteer shifts (6-7), a refund will not be given and the check will be deposited by PCST.
A volunteer check of $250.00 will be required prior to swimming in the first meet. If the volunteer check is not received, your swimmer will NOT be allowed to swim in the meet.
This is to certify that my child(ren) has(have) permission to swim with the Platte Canyon Swim Team. It is understood that participation in this sports activity involves risks that could result in injury to my child(ren). The undersigned expressly assumes any such risks, and releases the Platte Canyon Swim Team, the Normandy Estates Metropolitan Recreation District, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents and affiliates, and any other volunteer or employee, from any and all claims or causes of action or liability for injury, death, property loss or damage that the undersigned or my child(ren) may have as a result of negligence or otherwise. I give my consent for all emergency medical care prescribed by a licensed physician or dentist for the swimmer(s) identified in this form. Care may be given under whatever conditions necessary to preserve the life, limb or well-being of my child(ren).
